Some descriptions related to buckeye off road expo

We headed to Buckeye Reservoir and settled in for the night. We woke up with frost on the ground and in our tent. We packed up early and headed to the town of Naturita, Colorado. We didn’t know we would have difficulty getting there. We crossed the Dallas Divide and entered the town of Delta, Colorado. We visited Fort Uncompahgre and eventually ended up in the Dominguez-Escalante Wildlife Study Area. The next day we explored the area and felt like our brakes were hot. We pulled over and assessed the situation and indeed the driver’s front caliper did not release. I quickly took the wheel off and removed the brake pad from the putter, reinstalled the wheel, and drove 20 miles around town without touching the brakes. I used the emergency brake and downshifted to slow down and stop. Fortunately, the auto parts store had everything in stock. I set everything up in their parking lot just because they closed for a holiday weekend. Everything is fine now and it’s time to hit the road. 1. Dang! Reminds me of when we were at Big Bend National Park. We pulled up behind a 5th wheel camper that had one of their trailer wheels eaten by the lug bolts as they weren't tight enough. No cell service AT ALL. I pulled out my painter's pole and 2 meter jpole for my ham radio and contacted a local ham radio dude. He made a couple of phone calls and came back with the location that could replace the hub and wheel. FYI: Big Bend area has a great Amateur Radio network as it is too sparse a population to justify putting cell towers up. Loved the scenery!!
