Make Rice Milk Yourself – That’s How It Works | Dennispoint Campground MD

Make rice milk yourself: ingredients and utensils.

  • 1 cup of rice (do not use rice for risotto)
  • 6 to 7 cups of water (depending on desired consistency)
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of sugar (alternatively: stevia or coconut blossom sugar)
  • Sieve
  • Jar
  • blender
  • bottle to fill
  • A cotton cloth, gauze or a bag of nut milk.

This is how you can make rice milk yourself

  1. Put the rice in a strainer. Rinse the rice well with water, discarding the black grains.
  2. Put the rice in a saucepan and boil with two cups of water, salt and sugar. Remove the pan from the heat once the rice is tender and the water has been fully absorbed.
  3. Add two cups of water.
  4. Mix the rice and water until you get a pasty consistency. Gradually add more water. The rice needs to be mixed well before further processing.
  5. Now sift the rice milk through a cotton cloth or nut milk bag. Collect the rice milk in a suitable container.
  6. Fill the finished rice milk into glass bottles. The milk will keep in the refrigerator for three to four days.
