  3. when the system is first setup, all pipes will be dry ( no water), after all pipes are put together and glued, plus the cap below the chech valve installed, all you need to do is prime the space with water between the pump and chech valve, (prime = fill with water) and start up pump and the pump should suck water from well and work. and when pump shuts off the check valve shuts holding the water, like putting a straw in a drink, putting your finger on top and pulling the straw out
