  1. This is a recipe for rats, skunks, ground hogs.. You should always make a concrete footer and slab, check your building codes, in Michigan This is illegal….

  2. I wish they could show us a foundation that won't allow any animals or creatures under the sheds. Something much more simple please?

  3. If you installed 4×4 wood post and secured with concrete cement, will it be deteriorated in the near future?

  4. Do you have an estimate on how much it cost you to build that. I know it will be different but so I can get an idea?

  5. This is all assuming the asshole who is in charge of the lumber saw in the store deigns to use it. Winnfield Dunn Pkwy location flat refused to sell me lumber, citing "we don't do project cuts". Thanks for nothing, Steve.

  6. Maybe you should do a tutorial on how to use the two man auger. Better yet watch one for yourselves. It is not as easy as it looks in the video and people might think “hell I can do that” but end up injured.

  7. You need the gravel, you don't need the 4×4.
Just run your sonotubes to the same height above ground, and drop in a cheap steel concrete anchor on top after filling.
    No wood to decay.
And if you spend a couple bucks more per anchor, you can get the ones that allow you to level with a wrench if you ever need to.

  8. The way they set the wood posts directly in concrete looks convenient, neat, and easy to do. But what happens in 5 years when they've rotted through due to constant contact with moisture (yes, this happens even to treated timbers)? Then you have to figure out a new way to support your shed.

  9. 1:47 As far as I heard recently the wood should not have contact with a concrete, because the wood will get moist and rotten due to the capillary action of the concrete.
