Freezing Zucchini – You Have to Consider That | Dennispoint Campground MD

Freezing courgettes: this is how it works

  1. First, wash the courgettes well and make sure that there are no traces of soil adhering to the vegetables.
  2. After washing, cut the zucchini into small cubes. You can find instructions on how to do this here.
  3. Now you can evenly distribute the chopped vegetables. Fill portions into freezer bags or freezer containers and place in freezer.
  4. Frozen zucchini will keep for up to 12 months. However, after defrosting, the vegetables are not as crisp as when you bought them fresh. You need to keep this in mind when planning a zucchini dish. Frozen courgettes are not suitable for salads or kebabs, but they are suitable for soups or stews.
