  1. I just watched all your videos and completely take that back. I was all mad about the surfing part at first. You're a legend. Stoked to see there's still some people who know what they're doing out there. Hope to see you out there!

  2. I may be heading there tomorrow, would you drop the location of the spot or any spot to surf on SC island? Cheers

  3. Yep…Always drop two hooks! The 1 time we did not, at Cochese, tide came in, didn't have enough scope out, tackle was swinging in th3 2atee below us as we bounced towards the cliff wall and a giant yacht. Lesson learned…3 am rude awakening and headed to smugglers

  5. Hi John, watched several of your trips you've made with your sail boat, very interesting, we enjoyed it very much. Sorry we missed you while we were at Catalina and the Santa Barbara Islands. We spent about a month cruising there before heading to the Sea Of Cortez. We've been here 10 months now and really enjoyed our stay here. We'll plan on heading back sometime late Feb and will be looking for a slip along the CA coast somewhere. Hopefully we'll hook up with you sometime while we're there. Eventially, we'll head for the inside passage of Alaska. You can catch us at: wildlifevoyages.com Best Regards, Tom

  7. Thanks for the great videos! I was wondering why you left the boom out to the side when you anchored? What's hanging in the water from the boom? Cheers!

  8. Hey John. Thanks for the great videos. I'm also in Ventura West Marina and looking forward to some Channel Island cruising this summer. These videos are helpful. Look forward to running into you on the dock (or at the islands) some day. Best, Sean (sv Gratitude).

  9. that's quite a current you had. my wife has had issues with seasickness. scopolamine worked much better for her than bonine, but you need a prescription. she also started using reliefband with great results. surprised with this one.. i was a total skeptic!
