  2. one of the most beautiful surf breaks I've seen.. have not surfed it yet but plan on it.. as for the comment about malibu and santa barbara..more crowd control down south.. everything north is better when it comes to surf.. I enjoyed the video.

  3. Big waves, cold water, potential shark sightings, and mega kelp bed. You alk deserve a round of applause for that day!

  4. There's a great wave called Fuller's in Big Sur. Easy access and friendly locals, but this wave is heavy so make sure to bring friends so they can catch you getting barreled with their cameras

  5. as someone with a local pass due to family I have to disagree with the "Big Sur sucks for surfing. It is never worth the trouble" comment. too bad not everyone knows secret spots.

  6. Do you guys know about Edrick Baldwin? he is from Pacific Grove…Should have invited him. As far as localism and the demand for respect…it is still functioning in this area.

  7. You got it brah. I didn't want to say out of respect for the locals. I'm here in Taranaki, New Zealand now and we even have localism here even thought there are 10 great spots to every surfer….go figure????

  8. There are good spots in Sur but Willow ain't one of em. Ask about a spot called "Fu*%!@'s"" but it is heavy as. If it looks 5' from up on the highway it is twice that and breaks with "Island" power. And did I mention the locals……. I first surfed there in the mid 70's, so I don't give a shit. In those days you were almost always alone with your mates and it was spooky. You can still catch it from time to time but don't try it if it's huge (like the big swell last July). It will kill you.

  9. You guys got lucky. It's almost NEVER that good.

Big Sur sucks for surfing. It is never worth the trouble to drive to Big Sur for surf. All of your breaks there are fickle, and dangerous. LOTS of sharks, and hostile locals. I'll pass.

Better Surf can ALWAYS be found in Santa Cruz, Malibu or Santa Barbara.
