365 Days: This Day ( polish : 365 Dni: Ten Dzień ) is a 2022 erotic thriller film directed by Barbara Białowąs and Tomasz Mandes. Serving as a sequel to 365 Days, it is based on This Day, the irregular novel of a trilogy by Blanka Lipińska and stars Anna-Maria Sieklucka, Michele Morrone, and Magdalena Lamparska. The film was released global on Netflix on April 27, 2022, to alike widely negative critical reception as its harbinger. A sequel, Next 365 Days, is scheduled for late in the class.

The movie starts with Massimo and Laura getting married. Laura has lost her baby due to the accident that took place in the final scenes of the former movie. They both are happy until Laura starts feeling bored as she has nothing to do while Massimo is busy with his work. daily arguments force her thinker to get devoted to Nacho, Massimo ‘s gardener. One night at a party in Massimo ‘s house, Laura finds Massimo having sex with his ex-girlfriend Anna. She is brokenhearted and she leaves the party, where she encounters Nacho. They both flee to an island. interim, Massimo is confused about what happened and starts searching for Laura. Laura starts enjoying her biography on the island and at the same time she fantasizes about having sexual activity with Nacho. One day, Nacho tells Laura to meet his father and tells her that his father is the rival mafia crowd of Massimo. Laura is shocked and feels betrayed, but calm accompanies Nacho to his beget ‘s target. Laura is left with a few guards and Nacho goes to meet his church father. Massimo is having an argument with Nacho ‘s church father and it is revealed that they have Laura with them. on the spur of the moment, Nacho realizes that he left Laura with the amiss guards and Massimo and Nacho rush to save Laura. interim, Laura is kidnapped by Massimo ‘s duplicate brother Adriano. It ‘s revealed that the night Laura saw Massimo having sexual activity with Anna it was Adriano. Massimo enters the put and tries to save Laura. Massimo and Adriano had constantly been rivals, and it was all function of Adriano ‘s plan. Laura runs and she is shot by Anna and Massimo shoots Adriano. The movie ends with Laura lying in the arms of Massimo. [ 1 ]

Principal photography began in May 2021, in areas around Italy and Poland, with Anna-Maria Sieklucka and Magdalena Lamparska reprising their roles from the inaugural film. [ 3 ] [ 4 ] [ 5 ] [ 6 ] Production was primitively scheduled to begin in 2020, in Sicily and Poland, but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. [ 7 ] [ 8 ] In February 2021, Michele Morrone was besides confirmed to be reprising his role. [ 9 ]

On the review collector web site Rotten Tomatoes, 0 % of 17 critics ‘ reviews are cocksure. [ 12 ] Metacritic, which uses a leaden average, assigned the film a score of 8 out of 100, based on five critics, indicating “ overpowering dislike ”. [ 13 ] Jonathan Wilson, of Ready Steady Cut, gave the film a negative recapitulation, saying how the film, alongside other erotic films, had “ profoundly unhealthy depictions of sex and relationships that glamorize and justify versatile forms of controlling maltreatment and domination ”, and there was entirely 15 minutes of plat in the film, if the sexual activity montages, which comprised 80 % of the film, were taken out. [ 1 ] Jessica Kiang, of Variety, said the movie “ is piping hot trash ”. [ 14 ] Kate Erbland, of IndieWire, besides gave a veto review, saying “ most audiences who tune into 365 Days: This Day are likely not seeking out female authorization tales or coherent plots, but the contempt with which the film treats both its viewers and its star topology ca n’t help but grate. ” [ 15 ] Oli Welsh, of Polygon, said “ a difficult as it might be to believe, it ‘s flush worse than the first movie. But it goes down easy, because much of the first film ‘s atrocious side has been smoothed away. ” [ 16 ] Shaun Munro, of Flickering Myth, gave the film a 1 out of 5, saying “ this blandly corneous sequel tries in bootless to distance itself from its predecessor ‘s gooey foundations, and while its sub-telenovela diagram is hideous enough to be perversely entertaining, by any standard measured it ‘s truly awful stuff. ” [ 17 ]

sequel [edit ]

Plans for a sequel, titled Next 365 Days, were delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. [ 3 ] In May 2021, it was reported that Netflix had started filming Next 365 Days concurrently with This Day, for a 2022 free. [ 5 ] Morrone, Sieklucka, and Lamparska were all confirmed to return. [ 5 ]
